been a long time…
Saturday 31 January 2004 @ 1:04 am

So, since the last post, Mike, Andy and I went to Milwaukee to check out Sevendust play again. I think that’s like 3 times within a year? Great show as always. SUPER packed in the ol Rave, and it was WAY cold outside. It’s funny how you can be inside, and sweating hot from sharing a small space with 1300 people, then walk outside and freeze your nuts off. But anyways… a good show.

On Friday, it was birthday night! First I met Jamie (co-worker) and some of his friends, some guys I play sheepshead with sometimes, at Pedro’s for a magarita. This worked out to be the time killer before Dave’s party/dinner at 7! But also, Nora’s birthday was actually Friday, and she was meeting her friends at Pedro’s just as Jamie was leaving. So I hung out with Nora for a few minutes before heading over to meet the gang across town. I got there early! So I went to Home Depot and wandered around. About half of the gang at dinner were from my IRC Wisconsin chat room, so it’s always cool to meet up with people in real life that you only normally see in a chat room.

After dinner, it was off to Dave’s favorite Karaoke place in Middleton. I’m not one for Karaoke performing, but it’s always fun to watch, and of course, consume some beer. It was extra cool because the bartender there, Chris, works at the Mobil that I go to every Monday night on the way down to WORT. So, it was neato to see Chris too… After Nora was done with her other friends, she came out to join this party with her cousin, so that was extra cool! So, I had my camera, and here’s a link to the gallery with pictures from the night!

The rest of the weekend, I just took it easy and loafed. Pretty much the same for the week too. Work’s been okay. The neighbor moved out, and she couldn’t fit some stuff in her car, so she gave me a decent Vacuum cleaner, a Pentium Pro 200 computer and monitor, floor lamp and a mirror. I fired up the computer, Red Hat Linux. LOL I know next to nothing about Linux, but I think I’ll reformat it with Linux anyways, so I can learn!

So back to this sheepshead thing. It’s more or less a card game played by Wisconsinites. I’ve been playing most of my life, and it’s a lot of fun. Jamie (From work) has invited me up to play with his normal card playing friends a couple times, and it’s a lot of fun (yeah, with money too). It’s pretty hardcore, but it got my sheepshead juices flowing again. And to solve that? Yahoo! Sheepshead! So, I’m not fully addicted, but semi-addicted, and I’m still learning how to be a better player every time. I’ve also re-learned cribbage, and that’s pretty fun too. :)

So, I opened a CD tonight, it’s a decent band called Into Eternity, it comes out next week and was sent to me for airplay on The Mosh Pit. So I put it in my CD-ROM drive, because, well, that’s the drive I use to play my music CDs. It just blinks and doesn’t play. The drawer is flaky on it, but it still works okay. I eject, make sure the CD is right, put it back in, repeat. Not reading. I just pull it out, put it in the DVD other drive below it, didn’t look at the disk, same thing. So I eject, look at the disk and well, I took a picture of it. Never seen anything quite like it before!

This weekend I’ll have Tim, we’re going to get a haircut, go to Gramma’s and well, we’re going to play it by ear!

Also, I FINALLY got some pictures up from the Golf week trip last summer, we went to the Hayward, WI area. Not too many golf pictures, I took a few around the cottage though, so enjoy them. Here’s the link!

And lastly. I upgraded the blog software. I got my comments spammed. EVERY post had a spam comment in it, I guess there was an exploit for this blog program, and I got nailed, therefore, I upgraded. I also went and removed MOST of the spam posts… I’ll get the rest someday. IRK!

So, why not leave a comment yourself? :D

Tired!

Saturday night was fun!

WWE was in Madison, and I got some free tix from work. Mike, Andy, Matt (andy’s brother) (Aka, The Book, Linderman, Matt Squared) went to the Coliseum to partake in this trailer trash convention. I don’t know many of the “characters”, but it was fun playing the role of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog. Just making fun of wrestlers, and of course some of the people there. Yah, so what! What made it more fun was the group of guys in front of us was doing the same thing, so we fed off of each other.

Also amusing were the people behind us and their kids or step kids or neighbor’s kids or uncle dad’s kids or whatever. Like a 6 year old yelling “PUSSY!” in high pitched lil kid voice, or later on “get back and wrestle you black!” The “mom” character cuffed him the first time, but I think after a few beers she was just laughin’ too.

All in all, it was pretty fun! It was not a televised match, so I guess from what the WWE fans say, it’s usually better wrasslin’. It was more or less down to business for wrestling, and not as much drama as there is on TV sometimes (From the little bit I have seen). Chris Jericho was there, he’s pretty cool, he’s “Y2J” aka, the lead singer of a hard rock/metal band called Fozzy. I think he lost. I have a feeling that the

Friday 16 January 2004 @ 11:54 pm

Well, yet again i’ve slacked and not posted.

I hover my mouse of the “blog post” button in my internet explorer “Links” bar, and just think, what am I gonna write about? how I get to work earlier now? how a friend of mine put diesel in her car? Or… the Packers game last sunday?

Well, let’s talk about the Packers game. On second thought… no, let’s not, it SUCKED!

Um, yeah, so I got some tickets to see the WWE as it rolls into Madison tomorrow night. For those under rocks, WWE is that fake wrestling stuff. I figure, free tickets, big time live entertainment… where can one go wrong? Afterwards, the plan is to see Mirror Black and some other local band at Wiggies. Wiggies is a place by the hot dog factory (Oscar Mayer). It should be lots of fun!

Last weekend was Raven’s birthday (he’s the drummer from Mirror Black), checked out his band practice, along with some friends and a beer or 6… then the next night, it was the same peeps at the essen haus and come back inn. good times! Ended up with a couple of free shots and a beer, the dude forgot to charge me! Then in the Come Back Inn, I lost my “yard of beer” virginity! Drinking out of a glass that’s 3 feet long is more fun than you’d think it is!

Let’s see. I got a new vehicle a little while back. It’s pretty neat. A 2003 Buick Regal. It’s white! More about it later.

Work is going well. been busy, and i’m getting closer to on time lately!

Packers!!
Sunday 4 January 2004 @ 4:04 pm

So yeah, since my last post like, a LONG time ago… The Packers have won the NFC North AND just won the 1st round of the playoffs, both as of a result of last plays of the game. Amazing!

Xmas was alright. Went with my mom to see Tim sing at a Christmas program on 12/23 in Horicon. Then went to Church to see my sis ring bells on 12/24 here in Waunakee. Then it was out to my Dad’s for xmas eve festivities and present opening. The next day, it was over to my Mom’s for the traditional turkey dinner and present opening. fun fun. Then back to work on Friday! Um, yeah. Fun stuff.

I got some new pictures of the cats online here I am still working on some other photos and will get those up eventually.

New Years… well, it was alright, had to work a full day on NYE, then came home, and hung out, played cards, drank a lil, cranked some good ol classic rock. Later on New Year’s Day, I went up to pick up Tim and we went to “gramma’s” to open presents and eat dinner. Well, since all the presents were for Tim, the opening of presents lasted, oh, about 43 seconds! I don’t even know if he knew what all he got! I then took him back home last night.

I’ve been just taking it easy, and recharging I guess. Took back a couple presents that didn’t fit or have multiples of, and took a bunch of old clothes to St. Vinnies.

So, yup, that’s it for now
