I just had a big long post here, and some link I clicked on took over the entry form page here and wiped it all out… that really really really fucking sucks!
So, i was just saying how my sister has sold her restaurant, the last day is May 15th! The new guy will take over, change the menu, re-hire the staff, etc etc. I have to “interview” with him to maybe keep working there…. But it’s the summer, and I have been too busy lately to even do anything with Tim, it’d be nice to actually see him! So, we’ll see.
We won our softball game last Thursday night… it was the first game of the year, and the weather was actually nice! The score was 19-8. I’ve always liked playing softball, and we have a good team, lots of fun, etc etc. We won the championship last year, so that makes it even more fun, cool people and winning games!
Friday and Saturday night i bartended. Before going in on Saturday, I headed out to my dad’s to work on his computer… i think/hope I got the problem fixed… I haven’t heard otherwise! After closin time on saturday night, my friend heather decided to take me out for “a beer”, well, that turned out to be a few more as we went to the Golden Nugget in Waunakee. was kind of fun, saw people I knew, and well, it was just neat, kind of a “small town” thing which I haven’t had in a long time.
Sunday I checked out a show with Mike at the Annex. Soulfly with Sworn Enemy and E-Town Concrete. All bands that I’m the only one that gives them airplay in Madison (I think)… was a great show, got to catch up with some people I know, and saw a show there for the first time since they revamped the inside! All the bands were good, and Soulfly really put on a great show!!
That’s about it for now…
I am so lazy… i just never remember to post on this thing!! If i get bored at WORT, i’ll post from up there… til then, just letting anyone that reads this… that i am still alive!!
Here’s my rant for today….
So, I’ve found something very very VERY irritating lately. Copywrited CDs. Yes, I understand downloading music and all that is bad, but the copywrited format that was on the latest Stratovarius and now the new Nothingface (after writing, add Slaves on Dope to this list too!) CD take away my ability to even PLAY the cd in my computer. I listen to and preview most (if not all) of my CDs on the computer. This poses a problem!! I know I’m not the only one that does this! I do listen to CDs (on the computer…it’s my only option) all day at work, and I listen to them (on the computer) at home as well. Some of these Copy protected CDs are nice enough to put a CD player application on the data portion of the disc, so yes, I can still listen to it on the computer, but still not CD player program I like to use! Sorry for the rant, but, it’s getting out of hand already, and I can’t help but think that it will affect airplay on some stations in the long run.
On another note, Hockey Playoffs are still in full force, and they are quite exciting this year. It’s still the first round, and tomorrow night (tues, 4/22) there are THREE game 7’s! Do or die! Also, there have been a lot of Overtime games, it’s just really exciting stuff for a Hockey fan.
Just about into Round 2 of the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs, but at the same time, the NBA Playoffs just started. Well, I’ve never really been a basketball fan, and I jumped on the Hockey bandwagon just a few years ago… but this article sums things up fairly well comparing the post seasons of the NHL and NBA:

Well, what a weird week. Last week, I drove to my radio show in a snow storm with a few inches of snow on the ground. Last night, it was like 70 some degrees out, no snow and I wore shorts!

Okay, so Friday night was very busy at the ol Cottage, I was rollin on makin Cosmos and stuff.
Saturday was cool, as I wasn’t really all about going to a concert in Milwaukee and told Mike, eh, I don’t have anything going on, and I don’t really want to drive though. He said he’d drive, so, off we went… not before the cats got outside! They opened the sliding screen door and were out frolicing. Bad kitties. I finally rounded them up and gave them a treat or two, and CLOSED THE DOORS!!
So, off to The Rave in Milwaukee for the Jagermeister music tour with Saliva, Hed PE, Breaking Benjamin, Systematic and Stereomud. All bands that get some regular airplay on the “solid rock” stations across the country. They all put on a good solid show for what they do. Going into the show, we weren’t going to stay for all of Saliva, and I really was never into Hed PE (rappy dj scratchy metal), but they put on a great show and now I’ll have to delve back into their cds. The PA went out during Saliva, and after about 5 minutes of that, it was time to go get something to eat!!
We usually stop at the Pinecone Restaurant (truck stop) in Johnson Creek on the way home, for a nice nutritious greasy meal, at about the half way point home. mmmmm yummy!
Twas grill out day on Sunday… The store was OUT of brat/hot dog buns!! So, yup, had to go to a different store.
Man, this is a boring post.
Softball season starts next week. We’re having a practice tomorrow (wed), it’ll be nice to get back out there, but damn, i’m so out of shape, I’m sure to be all sore afterwards.

So, I’ve heard some people calling today “VI Day” as in Victory Iraq. C’mon. It’s not over yet!. But, the images today, really do send out a message. Anyone with common sense can see what was happening in Baghdad. Yes, there will be people saying this and that, but you cannot deny what was going on.
The NHL Playoffs started tonight. The best playoffs in any sport. Do or die, 7 game series… it’s what it’s all about! In case you care, here are my round one picks!

Been a busy weekend. I went to the Brewer Game on friday, worked after that, then bought an MP3 player from a friend, and went out after that. Picked up some stuff from my mom’s old condo too… stuff I forgot that I even owned! Old High School drafting class stuff, calvin and hobbes books, stamps, hockey and football cards, a bible, rocks, hats, and most importantly, a LOT of beer signs.
Anyways… met up with some friends for lunch today, was cool to see them, and now i’m doing laundry and putting off cleaning up down here. so much so, that I decided to get some pix off my cam and, well, made the before and after beard picture which you see in this post. Nothin like a lil gif animation to showcase my geekiness!
Fantasy Hockey Conclusion: NHL regular season concluded today, with me finishing in 3rd place. It was yo-yoing with me in 2nd and was within 400 points of 1st at one point!… but that didn’t happen. 
my reign of 1st place has come to an end after 3 years…. WAAHHHHHHH!
quick update:
I bought a camcorder on monday! I was blinded by the great deal ($300), then realized, hey, I don’t need a camcorder… also, the low light picture looked like crap. So I returned it today.
I’m going to Brewer Home Opening day in Milwaukee tomorrow… should be fun!
