I was at my Mom’s tonight, got sound back on her computer, also tried to help figure out why the remote control doesn’t work on their new big screen tv…. i figured it was the remote sensor, but the TV was delievered damaged anyways, so I said. uh, DUH, call them right away and get that new one they promised here ASAP! Then we played with the new fake fireplace and figured out all the controls there… turned the loud loud fan down and made the flame goe bigger. neat! Then we watched Law n Order… my mom likes that show, and her couch was comfy.
So I came home, got the mail and came down, felt motivated on working on the Annex site I worked on the photo gallery server application and figured out how to keep it so the top and bottom navigation bars will be part of the gallery… i’m just on a roll! So i got that as far as I wanted for the night, and headed over to Fantasy Hockey central…
Wednesdays on Fantasy Hockey, you get 5 new trades, so I went to work with a few new techniques on making the ol team click. I’m still not in last, but damn near too close for my comfort! So, I used up 3 trades and we shall see. 
Just got home from my radio show. If I do say so myself…. it kinda rocked tonight, most likely because I played some cool requests and stuck to my list, so it was all new stuff the 1st hour, then mixed in good old and new stuff, etc. It was just cool. The rest of the day was the same ol stuff. Work, Home, take out garbage, watch Boston Public, prepare for the radio show, go to the radio show, come home.
Fantasy Hockey Update: GREAT night! It’s about time! I even moved up a spot, i’m now 3rd from last! Three players on the New York Rangers, that I have on my team did very well tonight! It’s about time!!
Today I got to work! Yay! I was a camera operator for the Easter Seals Auction which is once a year in our studio. Just reminds me how much I miss doing real production type stuff. Then afterwards, out for a few beers with some of the crew. Then it was home, to do some laundry and more cleaning, straightening of this basement lair. There is going to be a BIG garbage day here pretty soon. Enough of this crap i’ve never used or touched in over 5 or so years. Time to let it go! Then it’s tackling the CDs. I will most likely be getting 3 ring binders and binder pages. and doing it that way. and of course, alphabatizing. woo hoo
Fantasy Hockey Update: Worthless day today, used my last trade to get rid of someone that doesn’t play til thursday, so i’m done til wednesday really…. still 2nd to last!
After helping my mom and marv with new stuff at their new house, and, well, laying around being lazy a lot too, I came home, found out my fantasy hockey team did very well, i’m only in 2nd to last place now!
So, I’m at my mom’s on her computer, she finally got a cable modem, and i’m on AIM chatting with Tom and Sandi (my sis) under my mom’s screenname. So then my mom leaves and calls sandi on the phone. So, still chatting with my sis online under my mom’s name, I tell her to “say hi to mom for me”. heh. You had to be there, but it sure got me laughing at the time! Yes, for anyone reading this for the first time and you don’t know me, this proves that I am truly a geek.
Now on to the other Aim IM i was having. Tom talking about pictures from my b-day party… well, I wanted to get this gallery program working, I got it up on the Annex site (just not updated enough to go online), then I helped tom get his going. I figured, dang, it’s time for me to get it going for myself! So, yup, got a few b-day pix. I wasn’t too active with the cam, so there aren’t a lot of pix, but here’s what I got! Click here

Done putting these stupid desk things together. The desk is a little low, or I’m too tall. At any rate, I think i’ll put some blocks under it and get it up a lil higher! Also, more boring factoids about my day:
Upgraded the Novell server at work, lots more ram, lots more hard drive. Probably bitched about work too much, but I hope to make it right by taking some lil job home with me… and putting a mpg movie from a cd rom onto a VHS tape. hehe, I have the technology! Tomorrow, i’ll do more annex updates and try and clean this room up a bit… also, I’ll get a picture up of this desk!
Fantasy Hockey Update: SUCKY… still in last place and losing tons of money, but I got some trades back, and I hope to be leaving last place for good soon!
Stayed up way too late last night assembling my new desk. It’s neat to follow a manual with NO WORDS! Those “some assembly required” furniture things are amazing. Not only do they have to design the desk so it’s decent, but then all the ways to package the pre-assembled desks so they ship in the smallest space possible. Then create holes and parts in this stuff, for you to put it all together. Anyways…
the desk is together, and it’s functional. It’s nice to have a little space to move around in, but the keyboard drawer is a little awkward, the tops of my fingers hit the underneath of the desk, and so far, I think the desk will be a little short, so, nothing a few 2×4’s can’t fix to make the desk a little taller!
Just got back from WORT It’s pledge drive time, so basically, I have to get on the air and beg for money! The station is non-commercial and listener sponsored. So it’s cool to actually have people call in and pledge. Had $240 in pledges tonight, the goal was 100. yay!!
I had one $60 pledge early in the night, then nothing until i was 5 minutes from being done, and 180 bucks came in four more pledges! yaay!!
that happened tonight… and Boston Public started. I love the show, it’s pretty much the only one I watch regularly, due to time, and just not caring much. I started watching 2 years ago… the 3rd season just started tonight, and it is goin’ strong!! i guess that’s it.
oh, my friend tom got his photo gallery up! (i helped LOL) but it looks great, it’s just what he needed!
Fantasy Hockey Update: I didn’t get negative numbers last night, but I also did not gain any ground. BLECH… made a trade that should help… slow but sure, i’ll be back!!
So, it was my b-day yesterday, and my mom and sis threw a party for me. I invited a bunch of people, from work, etc. Out of 30 from work, 3 came. At least 3 others said they would be there for sure, but didn’t come. Others had drama problems… “if so and so is going, i’m not” etc. This isn’t High School! And, well, I had a great time, The Captain and Jose really helped me with that. And the people that were there, it was great to see so many of them again, after too long for a lot of them I guess I should be more sociable with my old and new-ish friends!
Also, well, everything was cool. Dunno what else to say, but thanks to everyone for coming out or trying to come out. I’m older now!
Tonight, i’ve been hemming and hawing over this stupid desk at office depot and other stuff to make my “area” more ergonomic. Well, I ordered that stuff tonight. Had a 16% coupon, and it didn’t work, so I cancelled the order. Then tried to use it again, and it said it was used and won’t work. I called them, no help. So i fired up the laptop, re-did the order with a new account, and bam, worked. a 2.4ghz 2 line phone for a friend, and one for my sis, the desk, a drawer set for the desk, a mouse gel wrist rest and 2 keyboard mouse extension cords for just over 300 bucks delivered. Saved over 50 bucks with that coupon! yay. So, yeah, happy birthday to me.
Since you are here, anyways, as for good loot, I got a lot of cards, some best buy gift cards, jcpenney gift card, some money, and some other trinkets…and of course, the party! hehe

Fantasy Hockey Update: got more points than anyone last night, and i’m not in last anymore! I’m still optimsitic!!
Howdy, yesterday I didn’t post, I think I spent the night deleting spam. Actually, someone’s going away gathering at work, then got home, had updates to do for one of my “side projects” and then just wasted time trying to pick out a new more ergonomic desk for home. I feel like such a bitch about it, because I go back and forth, well, i actually went back to office depot today, for the THIRD TIME to check out this el cheapo desk. There’s no info for this thing online, so I went with a tape measure and measured it! It’s only 70 bucks, but I need it to be able to fit both my 19″ monitors. It has a keyboard drawer, and plenty of room underneath it. I think I will get it, but now is the problem of getting rid of the old behemoth.
Anyways… I ordered a chair for myself at work. I think i’ll use it for a bit, and if i’m totally AAI (All About It), I think I’ll get one for home.
Now today at work, yah, I went to office depot at lunch, measured the desk, and then worked at the restaurant tonight. It was super busy for like 15 minutes at the bar, a ton of people came in and waited at the bar while a ton of people were leaving and checking out (also the bar’s job) was pretty tense for a few!
But now it’s all okay. I’m golfing tomorrow, my birthday starts in an hour, and the party will be hella cool!
Well, yeah, here I sit. Today was fun, I checked out a couple chairs and found one I liked, and liked it so much and cost a LOT less than I thought it would, that I might get one for home too. Here it is! It’s the one with the high back and is fully adjustable. I might even get to order it this week. yay!
I changed the page a little bit again, well, I made the “brady bunch” pictures smaller. I will probably take new pix soon, since i think it’s the ‘trademark’ of the site now, people seem to like it I guess.
And, fantasy hockey, like anyone cares, oh wait, like anyone cares about anything here! (I learned how to be humble on a blog from Tom) Every Wednesday, 5 trades get added to each “manager” well, today was the day, and I had one hurt goalie and 2 players that haven’t even played yet, so I sold them and bought some new ones. And yup, I’m in last place. How annoying, never been there in this league before ( in the last 3 years!) Yup, It’s early, and I expect to take the top spot in no time!

Had a comment on one of the last posts from someone that thought they were so important or something, but was kind of complaining about why would anyone want to read a blog? Well, you were here reading it. And I figure, it’s like TV, if you don’t want to see it, you don’t have to type www.mattymo.com in your address field.
Okay, so now that that’s out of the way… I had to file a claim at work because I’ve got the beginnings of carpal tunnel. Basically, I need a taller chair, as desks made 17 years ago didn’t have computers in mind when they were designed, so well, my mousing hand hurts a lot. Had an “ergo” expert in to evaluate the work space. Got the info back… it’s a big DUH, but it’s a wrist rest for the mouse and keyboard, and monitor stands. … and most importantly… a CHAIR! There were three that were recommended to me, and I am not making it my mission at work to get this ordered ASAP.
I have an appointment to check out this chair in the morning!
Also, in the mean time, I am going to get a new desk at home, I found a decent one that works with my setup (Dual 19″ monitors) and will order it as a b-day present to myself this week!
So that’s about it for now… and from now on, since I’m semi-addicted to Fantasy Hockey at smallworld.com I’ll put in my posts…my opinion of how my “team” is doing!
Fantasy Hockey Update: I suck
Well, Monday nights are usually pretty busy, get home from work, prep for my radio show… which involves, compiling a top 20, new adds for the week, also compiling the songs played from last week’s show, printing them out, emailing them, reporting it all online, etc etc. It’s down to a pretty decent routine now, just takes some time.
Also on monday nights, it’s get the garbage ready night. Clean the kitty litter, empty all the garbage cans in the house, etc etc. But, usually I slack a little bit, chat while “working” and don’t get everything done until around 10. Was done at 9 tonight. But, that could have something to do with the fact that I didn’t eat dinner! oops. I’ll have to hit the golden arches on my way to the radio station.
It’s a pledge drive at the station, we’re a community station so we beg for money a few weeks a year, this week and next week are some of those weeks, so I beg for money, and people that pledge get a LOT of CDS, as I have a lot to get rid of!
and, that’s about it. I have to get used to this blog thing, but it’s not bad so far!
Yes! Finally. I kinda have this thing going. So far so good, and I’m learning a bit every minute. So as you see my homepage is different now! It will continue to change right before your eyes.

well, today was a long day… as every friday is. Took the grill apart this morning, loaded up for the cookout at work today, since the grill at work is very lame, and well, cooking for 20 some people requires 2 grills. hehe
I got to be the grill master, because I guess i am by default…. besides, it gets me out of working for 2 or so hours. Then worked til 6, and race to sis’s restaurant so I can bartend until 10ish. Then it was home for some R&R in front of the computer. I wasn’t motivated enough again to start working on the page. But I think i might just work on it in pieces rather than blow my wad with putting a new site up all at once. Then anyone that actually comes here can see the progress.
yeah, i’m at work now, but I just wanted another post to have one for the day. Yah, i am a dork.
Well Here i am working on the Blog… trying to get the templates to look nice n pretty! as of this post, the blog still isn’t public yet, but why not get in the habit of adding stuff?
